In this sermon we look back at the Flood in Genesis 6. What was the reason for and the nature of the Flood? How do we see Jesus in the Flood? What is the significance of the Ark? We tackle the tough subject of sin and judgment, and then we find relief in God’s grace as we see what the Ark teaches us about Jesus.
Road to Emmaus
In this sermon we discuss the identity of the Angel of the Lord and just who it was walking and talking in the garden with Adam and Eve after the Fall. We see that He is there to rescue and not to condemn them. We examine the first proclamation of the gospel and the first sacrifice to cover His people. Are you still wearing fig leaves? Read Genesis 3:1-24 and listen in as we find that it was Jesus in Eden.
In this sermon we compare the beginning of John’s gospel (John 1:1-3) to Genesis 1:1 and see that John intends to allude back to Genesis 1 to show that Jesus is the Creator. We also bring in other Scriptures like Colossians 1:15-20 and Hebrews 1:1-3 to make the same point. Our understanding of our Savior is deepened and we come away knowing more about ourselves as we get a clear picture of what John is teaching about Jesus.
In this sermon we introduce the new series by looking at two New Testament texts, Ephesians 1 and Luke 24:27, to see how Jesus taught His disciples to interpret all Scripture with Him at the center. We talk about when redemption was planned – in eternity past – and who was at the very heart of the plan – Jesus. So, it is only right to expect Jesus to be the main subject of all of Scripture, including all of the Old Testament.
