Grace Church is a growing community of believers in the Swansboro, NC area. Our desire is to see people come to know and rejoice in God’s amazing grace in Jesus Christ. We also desire to live Christ-centered lives that are marked by faith, known by love, and proclaim hope.

We are a reformed church that holds to the historic truths of the Christian faith. (See the What We Teach page.)

Grace Church a gathering of ordinary people who have been deeply impacted by the good news of the gospel, and we desire to be a church that is devoted to God’s glory, loves people sacrificially, and brings healing and hope to our community, state, nation, and world.

The church is not a place or building; the church is God’s people. We gather as the church for worship and we go out as the church for service, seeking to spread the good news of God’s grace and love in Jesus.

The Church Gathered in Worship

On Sundays we gather to worship God through prayer, singing, giving, teaching, and fellowship. We enjoy connecting with one another in community around Christ. Our mid-week Grace Groups offer another opportunity for fellowship and encouragement in the faith. We welcome you to gather with us whether you are strong in the faith or maybe struggling and have questions.

The Church Scattered on Mission

Having come together for worship we scatter out into the community, seeking to engage those around us with the gospel. We truly seek to establish genuine, loving relationships with the people we meet. We desire to live lives that proclaim, in both word and deed, the hope that is found in Jesus Christ alone. This means that every believer in Jesus has a part to play in the ministry of the church. Our goal is that everyone we meet would come to know the love and grace of Jesus, finding true life by trusting in Him.

What To Expect

We desire to be a church that glorifies God by living faithfully for Jesus: loving and enjoying God by grace, loving people sacrificially, and keeping the gospel central in all we do. You can expect the following:

Singing of praise: We love to sing about who God is and what He’s done for us through our Savior, His Son Jesus Christ. We praise Him for His amazing grace!

Teaching from the Bible: We usually systematically work through books of the Bible. At the core of the weekly message is the gospel, our present and future hope in Jesus Christ. We seek to keep the good news of God’s grace in Jesus central in every message.

Prayer: We offer praise to God in prayer and acknowledge our need of both His forgiveness and power, so that we can honor Him in our lives in general and in our weekly time together.

Fellowship: Join us after the service to meet others, get connected, and enjoy good conversation. Once a month we have a church-wide meal together after the morning service.

Families worshiping together: We do provide childcare for the very young, up to about age 4. We love to see entire families together engaged in joyful worship! Check out this article by John Piper that gives a great explanation of why families should worship together: The Family: Together in God’s Presence.

We desire our Sunday gatherings to be warm and welcoming no matter where you are in your walk with God.

Welcome to an imperfect church made up of imperfect people who have a perfect Savior. We have great hope all because of His grace!
