Paul and the Old Testament

Acts 18:12-22 Paul ends his second missionary journey. In this sermon, we see that like Paul, we should highly value the Old Testament Scriptures, and seek to understand and apply them in light of Christ.

Groaning in Hope

Romans 8:18-25 Corey Riggs preaches from Romans 8 in light of the recent hurricane. We groan in hope because the jaw-dropping magnificence of future glory makes the bitterness of present suffering insignificant in comparison.

Taking Communion Seriously

A major part of our participation in the Supper is to be self-examination. Faithful participation in the Lord’s Supper requires that we examine ourselves, and in this way grow in assurance.

Expect Great Things From God

Acts 18:1-11 Paul arrives in Corinth and continues to live on mission. His example teaches us that we should expect great things from God in His people, in His promises, and in His purposes.

The Unknown God

Proclaim the unknown God by finding a point of contact, sharing the basic storyline of the Bible, and leaving the results to Him.

Biblical Open-mindedness

Acts 17:10-15 God opens the hearts of those He saves to joyfully receive, diligently study, and unreservedly believe His Word.

Staying Focused in Suffering

Acts 16:19-40 In this Sermon Corey Riggs opens up the story of the salvation of the Philippian Jailer. In this text, we see that we are to stay focused because God uses the suffering of his children for the salvation of His enemies.

Jesus vs The Occult

Acts 16:16-18 Paul encounters a demon-possessed slave girl on the way to the place of prayer. From this text, we see that the Christian is to be satisfied in Jesus and reject the occult in all of its forms.

The Gospel & Open Hearts

Acts 16:11-15 God opened Lydia's heart to the gospel. In order for anyone to believe in Christ, they must hear the gospel, and God must open their heart.

Mission Control

Acts 16:6-10 God perfectly coordinates the efforts of His church to accomplish His goal of world mission.
