by | Nov 10, 2024 | Sermon Archive, Revelation: The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Sermon: Romans 1:4-6, Glorious Grace

Main Point: Embrace God’s call on your life by resting in His glorious grace.

I. Receive A Gracious Greeting – 1:4-5a.

See also Eph. 2:8-9; John 14:6; Heb. 10:12-14

“Peace flows out of that grace, for peace is the reflection of God’s smile. In our natural condition of sin, God must frown upon us … But through the blood of Jesus, by God’s grace, all of that changes. God now deals with us not as we deserve but according to the merit of His Son, Jesus Christ.” – Joel Beeke

II. Embrace A Glorious Calling – 1:5b-6.

Application

1) Rest in His grace and trust in and experience His peace!

2) Rededicate yourself to living in line with your new identity!

3) Never again fear an earthly ruler to the extent that you deny the true and eternal ruler, the Lord Jesus Christ!
